Job summary

BDO USA in the United States seeks a State Government Finance and System Project Manager to lead public-sector modernization engagements, embedded with state and local agencies to drive enterprise software initiatives, business process optimizations, and strategic IT transformations.

You will manage client relationships, direct cross-functional teams, and ensure timely delivery of milestones across multiple engagements.

Qualifications

Five (5) or more years of experience in project management, required.
Familiar with ERP systems & technology implementation best practices (eg. Infor, Workday, Netsuite, Tyler, OpenGov, etc.), preferred.
Experience with State and Local Government, nonprofit, and other highly regulated industries, preferred.

Responsibilities

Provides project management support for client project management teams leading software selection, implementations, and system integrations.
Handles core systems and staff augmentation roles.
Develops, builds, and revises procedures and client playbooks for system rollouts.
Helps to protect clients from vendor scope creep and monitors project risks.
Oversees documentation, project timelines, and internal and vendor-facing deliverables.
