Job summary

BDO USA, LLP is seeking a State Government Project Manager to lead public-sector modernization engagements embedded within state, county, and municipal agencies. You will drive enterprise software initiatives, optimize business processes, and transform IT landscapes while managing client relationships and cross-functional teams.

You will oversee multi-engagement projects, ensure timely milestones, and mitigate risks across vendor and internal deliverables, with a focus on delivering measurable

Qualifications

• Five or more years of project management experience.
• CAPM or PMP certification required.
• SmartSheet certifications preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems & technology implementations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides project management support for client project management teams leading software selection, implementations, and system integrations
• Handles core systems and staff augmentation roles
• Develops, builds, and revises procedures and client playbooks for system rollouts
• Helps to protect clients from vendor scope creep and monitors project risks
• Oversees documentation, project timelines, and internal and vendor-facing deliverables
• Other duties as required to support changing client needs across different agency engagements
