Job summary

EY in Charlotte seeks a senior leader to guide Forensics Insurance and Federal Claims Services engagements for government and public sector clients, focusing on disaster recovery funding programs (FEMA, HUD CDBG-DR, ARPA). You will manage complex teams, develop client relationships, and drive compliance projects across states and localities.

Ideal candidates bring 9+ years in compliance/audit, CPA/CFE/CEM, and proven business development skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting, law, finance, business or related field.
9+ years’ related compliance, audit, financial management, disaster recovery and/or emergency management experience.
Professional designation such as CPA, CFE, or CEM.
Excellent project and time‑management skills.
Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
Quantifiable history of business development success.
Willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.
Driver’s license recommended for travel to EY offices and client sites.

Responsibilities

Lead engagement teams to provide government and public sector clients with a variety of services associated with disaster recovery funding and compliance.
Develop client relationships and establish engagement processes; oversee teams monitoring federally funded projects.
Oversee multiple projects to ensure work meets the client’s needs.
Travel and presence at client sites, along with in-office presence, as required.
Lead business and practice development initiatives and collaborate across EY service lines.
