Job summary

Citigroup Inc. in New York, NY is seeking an Associate for Public Sector Banking to develop new business and strengthen client relationships across federal, state and local government entities. You will call on priority clients, support growth goals with the PAMs, and deliver Citi’s global platform across Banking, Markets and Services.

You will also build presentations, manage risk considerations, and mentor junior staff while driving revenue growth and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of banking experience, Public Sector experience preferred.
• Series 79 and 63 required within 90 days of accepting the job.
• Understanding of Capital Markets, Services & Markets products and Corporate Banking business (lending, credit, regulatory)
• Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Drive strategic initiatives to support bankers’ revenue growth across Banking, Markets and Services and ensure client satisfaction.
• Lead presentations, proposals, best practices and thought leadership for client conversations.
• Cross-sell Banking, Markets and Services products to support revenue growth.
• Engage with clients, participate in meetings and ensure timely follow up.
• Analyze financial data required for clients’ credit needs and manage account plans.
• Collaborate with Risk partners and ensure compliance as needed.
• Mentor junior staff and audit/proofread materials before sharing with seniors.
• Organize client presentations and segment content for PSG colleagues.
