Job summary

Citi in New York seeks a Relationship Associate to support Public Sector Banking clients across Banking, Markets, and Services. You will act as a client advocate, work with PAMs, and coordinate across internal groups to deliver high-quality service and revenue opportunities.

The role requires 6–10 years of experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and knowledge of credit, treasury models, and regulatory requirements. The position is based in New York with full-time hours and a competitive salary range.

Qualifications

• 6-10 years of relevant work experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; preferred fields include Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or political science/international affairs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the highest degree of client satisfaction through day-to-day execution and client interactions guided by the PAMs
• Identify cross-sell opportunities across Banking, Markets, and Services leveraging client interactions
• Develop deep knowledge of the client and advocate for their needs within Citi
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and issue resolution
• Lead timely escalations to remove barriers to execution
• Master Citi processes and apply a Public Sector lens to client needs
• Enter and manage opportunities and deals in Opus, CRM and related systems
• Monitor and track pipeline to assist PAMs with the sales process
• Contribute to the sales process, proposals, and client meeting materials
• Ensure governance on mapping/marketing hierarchies for revenue reflection
• Assist bankers with account plans, relationship reviews and briefings
• Facilitate credit originations, allocations, approvals, documentation and renewals across contracts
• Perform financial and operational investigations including cash management and trade services
• Conduct KYC and onboarding activities across product/hierarchy levels
• Serve as main contact for cross-functional units ensuring regulatory and credit compliance
• Assess risk and drive compliance with laws, regulations and Citi policies
