Job summary

Google Public Sector is seeking a Customer Engineer to partner with technical Sales and help customers understand and adopt Google Cloud. You will develop creative cloud solutions, engage in proofs of concepts, and troubleshoot roadblocks with strong presentation and communication skills.

You will focus on infrastructure modernization, data analytics, AI/ML workloads, and building greenfield territories while collaborating with product teams to drive adoption across public sector customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
• Experience with GenAI use cases, or deploying custom AI applications.
• Experience with cloud engineering, on-premise engineering, virtualization, or containerization platforms.
• Experience engaging with, or presenting to, technical stakeholders or executive leaders.
• Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Identify and qualify business opportunities and resolve technical blockers.
• Share Google Cloud expertise to support technical relationships and bid responses.
• Demonstrate and prototype integrations in customer and partner environments.
• Recommend architectures and infrastructure for complete Google Cloud solutions.
• Lead prospecting and build customer relationships from scratch.
