Job summary

Google Public Sector seeks a Customer Engineer to partner with technical Sales teams and differentiate Google Cloud for customers and partners. You will develop cloud architectures, engage in proofs of concept, and troubleshoot technical questions, presenting practical solutions and communicating effectively with stakeholders.

You will focus on infrastructure modernization, data analytics, and AI/ML workloads while building new relationships in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
• Experience with GenAI use cases, or deploying custom AI applications.
• Experience with cloud engineering, on-premise engineering, virtualization, or containerization platforms.
• Experience engaging with, or presenting to, technical stakeholders or executive leaders.
• Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Identify and qualify business opportunities and resolve technical blockers.
• Share Google Cloud expertise to support customer relationships and bid responses.
• Demonstrate and prototype integrations in customer and partner environments.
• Recommend architectures and infrastructure for complete Google Cloud solutions.
• Lead prospecting and build customer relationships from scratch as a trusted advisor.
