Job summary

Google Public Sector seeks a Customer Engineer to empower state and local government and education customers with AI-first Google Cloud architectures and autonomous data ecosystems.

You will lead proofs of concept, design secure data infrastructures, and collaborate with sales to translate academic needs into practical, scalable solutions that improve productivity and collaboration across public sector institutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
• Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure engineering, on-premise infrastructure engineering, virtualization, or containerization platforms.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sales to uncover and qualify Google Cloud and AI-first opportunities and develop strategic pathways to resolve technical blockers.
• Own the technical relationship with State and Local Government customers, leading immersive product briefings on Google Cloud and GenAI portfolio.
• Demonstrate and prototype intelligent integrations with autonomous agents and AI-powered workflows in customer environments.
• Design and recommend AI-optimized enterprise architectures and integration strategies using best practices.
• Travel to customer sites and industry events to advocate Google Public Sector's aims and engage with government leaders.
