Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a database specialist Solutions Architect to serve as a trusted technical advisor to State & Local Government, Education, and emerging technology customers embarking on complex database migration and modernization journeys.

In this role, you'll combine deep technical expertise in relational and non-relational database technologies with customer-facing consulting skills to architect solutions that drive measurable business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
• 8+ years of experience in technology domains (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).

Responsibilities

• Design and architect end-to-end database solutions for public sector customers across relational and NoSQL services.
• Lead complex database migration assessments, performance optimization engagements, and architecture reviews.
• Provide strategic technical guidance through 1:1 advisory sessions and enablement workshops.
• Drive database service adoption and revenue growth by contributing to GTM strategy and creating reusable content.
• Collaborate with sales, product, and engineering to translate customer needs into product enhancements.

Education

Bachelor's degree

8+ years in technology domain areas

5+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures
