Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher in business or related area.
• 2-3 years of public sector purchasing experience or a combination of education and experience.
• Valid Texas driver’s license; CPPO/CPPB/CPM preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities involved with procuring goods and services.
• Prepare bid specifications for formal solicitations as required by state/city codes.
• Review bid tabulations and recommend awarding of bids.
• Prepare agenda packets for Council meetings to award contracts.
• Process contracts and verify insurance and bonds as required.
• Receive requisitions and verify completeness and information.
• Source suppliers, request quotes, and select suppliers.
• Research and recommend new products and revised specifications.
• Ensure compliance with rules and regulations and maintain licenses.
