Job summary

Gfoat is seeking a Buyer II to assist the Purchasing Manager in coordinating procurement activities for goods and services. You will prepare bid specifications for formal solicitations, review requisitions, and help ensure compliance with state and city requirements.

The role involves evaluating bids, selecting suppliers, and supporting contract processes while maintaining licenses and qualifications. Applicants should have an Associates degree or higher in a related field, 2–3 years public

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher in business or related area.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of work experience in public sector purchasing or related field.
• Valid Texas driver's license.
• Certification as CPPO, CPPB, or CPM preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate procurement activities for goods and services.
• Prepare bid specifications and documentation for formal solicitations.
• Review requisitions for completeness and accuracy.
• Solicit quotes, evaluate sources and select suppliers.
• Verify insurance, bonds and contract requirements.
• Provide technical assistance and participate in cross-department meetings.
