Job summary

Scale in Washington, DC is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead technical delivery for a major Public Sector program. You will supervise a team of TPMs, shape the delivery of AI-enabled planning and decision-support capabilities for DoD commands, and coordinate with engineering and operations to meet client objectives.

You will translate operational needs into actionable delivery plans, drive innovation, and ensure scalable, reusable solutions while maintaining strong relationships

Qualifications

• 7+ years in stakeholder management or customer-facing role.
• Experience leading or mentoring program managers, engineers, or technical staff.
• Ownership of technical delivery in a complex, multi-workstream program with senior stakeholders.
• Technical background in CS, Economics, Statistics, or Engineering.
• Deep understanding of ML operations process.
• Knowledge of software delivery pipelines and DevOps principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Technical Program Managers.
• Own the technical shape of what we deliver and when to extend or build anew.
• Plan and sequence releases, anticipating technical risk and trade-offs.
• Serve as a senior technical voice to stakeholders and users.
• Drive innovation by solving complex technical challenges for Public Sector.
• Translate requirements into actionable delivery decisions for the team.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and public sector teams to tailor AI systems.
• Set direction for cross-functional teams to meet AI/ML objectives.
