Job summary

Salesforce is hiring Forward Deployed Engineers to design, build, and deploy AI agent solutions inside enterprise environments. You’ll work with a Deployment Strategist and a delivery team to ship production-ready capabilities from day one.

Role spans data, platform, and headless architectures, with hands-on work across data pipelines and KPI dashboards. Expect 25% travel to customer sites and close collaboration with customers and partners.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in CS or a related field.
• 3+ years software engineering or technical delivery experience with at least one production system.
• Prior customer-facing technical delivery experience.
• Experience delivering customer-facing projects in Public Sector, Higher Education, or Nonprofit environments.
• Fluent in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex and willing to expand as needed.
• Hands-on with LLMs and prompt engineering.
• Deep understanding of data modeling, APIs, and integration patterns.
• Ability to present to sales teams and customer architects.
• Ships quality code and evaluates AI outputs with engineering rigor.
• Keeps curiosity about evolving AI/data landscape.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI agents and experiences that take real actions for real organizations.
• Design agent intelligence: prompts, reasoning, tool calls, and integration with customer systems.
• Own technical components end-to-end: architecture, deployment, validation, and production observability.
• Build and integrate data pipelines on Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, Databricks, and customer data platforms.
• Build and maintain agent performance dashboards and KPI reporting.
• Contribute to proofs-of-concept and MVPs from sketch to deployable in days.
• Co-build with customers and partners, sharing best practices and enablement.
• Surface platform gaps, edge cases, and field insights to senior engineers and product teams.
• Partner with Deployment Strategist to translate customer challenges into agentic solutions.
