Job summary

Central Georgia Technical College is hiring an Accountant to analyze and prepare financial reports, maintain qualifications and travel as needed. The role involves recording transactions, processing payables, and preparing standard reports for revenue and student accounts.

The candidate should hold a Bachelor’s or an Associate degree in accounting, with preferred experience in Workday/GA@WORK and BANNER student accounts modules.

Qualifications

• Earned degree in accounting or related field as required by CGTC policies.
• Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles and reports.
• Experience with college student accounts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Record financial transactions and categorize revenue/expenditures.
• Process accounts payable including invoices and payments.
• Prepare standard accounting reports and reconciliations.
• Balance cash receipts and assist with student registration accounting.
• Coordinate purchase activities and maintain accounting files.
