Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Presales Engineer in the United States to manage presale opportunities and implement complex projects for public safety and critical communications customers. You will collaborate with the Sales Team to define requirements, design end-to-end solutions, and ensure successful delivery from scope to close.

The role requires 4+ years in sales or sales engineering in public safety, excellent communication skills, and the ability to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of sales, sales engineering, public safety experience.
• 8+ years of sales, sales engineering, public safety experience.
• Land Mobile Radio (LMR) experience highly preferred.
• Strong written and oral communications skills with the ability to present complex topics to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Willingness to think out of the box and challenge the status quo.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Sales Team to deliver customer-driven, world-class, end-to-end solutions across a variety of customers.
• Defines directions and requirements to ensure timely implementation and quality of the technical solutions.
• Provide engineering services for Customers, including commissioning and testing equipment per requirements and contracts.
• Preparation of system bids considering customer needs and available equipment, with modifications as needed.
• Collaborate with operations and other developers to meet delivery requirements and deadlines.
