The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree with LE experience (5 years, incl 1 year in leadership) or a high school diploma with 8 years LE experience (incl 1 year leadership).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5 years LE experience including 1 year in leadership.
• Or high school diploma with 8 years LE experience including 1 year in leadership.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Act as shift commander, supervise sergeants and officers; assign work and provide training.
• Respond to calls, assume scene command during critical incidents and coordinate with other jurisdictions.
• Communicate policy changes and procedures to staff; advise on laws and best practices.
• Compile data and prepare reports; ensure compliance with policies and standards.
• Plan and evaluate deployments; maintain standard operating procedures.
• Complete projects for senior leaders; participate in committees as needed.
• Perform patrol duties when required and lead specific details (education, investigations, etc.).
