Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in criminal justice or related field with 3 years of law enforcement experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent with 5 years of law enforcement experience.
• Preferred supervisory/leadership experience.
• University law enforcement experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Acts as command officer in charge of shift operations; provides training, instruction, evaluation, and supervision of all assigned personnel.
• Responds to calls for assistance from patrol officers and assumes scene command of critical incidents.
• Maintains shift reports and compiles information for on-coming officers and records.
• Patrols campus and investigates complaints; drafts reports and participates in court proceedings.
• May be assigned specific detail (investigations, special events, training).
