Job summary

City of Boise is seeking a Police Records Technician II to review and process police reports, maintain accurate records, and prepare case information for prosecutors and other agencies. This role supports officers, detectives, and the community by ensuring critical information is complete and accessible when needed.

The position requires attention to detail, comfort with complex information and computer systems, and the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced public safety environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Two years of experience in a professional office environment using computer software to enter data, handling records and providing customer service.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Responsibilities

• Review and process police reports to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain confidential records and organize case information for prosecutors and agencies.
• Prepare case information for prosecutors and other agencies.
• Assist officers, detectives and the public with records requests.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure complete and accessible records.
