Job summary

Humboldt County, Nevada seeks a Technology Services Manager to lead the Technology Services Department. You will supervise staff, plan and execute network and public safety communications projects, and ensure systems are reliable and secure across County facilities and remote sites.

Initial supervision will focus on learning County-specific systems, with increasing independence as competence is demonstrated.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, computer engineering or closely related field; five years of progressively responsible IT and comms experience.
• Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft 365 and network security principles.
• Cisco Career Certification or equivalent information security credentials are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct and supervise Technology Services staff.
• Maintain County networks, public safety communications and related equipment.
• Oversee projects, training, workload, performance and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Ensure safety and compliance for County facilities and remote sites.
