Job summary

Humboldt County, Nevada is seeking a Maintenance Worker II to perform a variety of building maintenance and minor repairs across county facilities and grounds. You may drive to transport personnel and equipment, and work on call as required.

The role requires independence, ambidextrous use of tools, and the ability to supervise contractors as needed. Typical duties include remodeling support, estimating materials, and maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 2 years skilled experience in building operating systems.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry and safety practices.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, drawings and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and related systems.
• Inspect equipment, troubleshoot issues, and perform repairs as needed.
• Maintain records of work performed and materials used.
• On-call and return-to-work as scheduled; supervise contractors when assigned.
