Job summary

CCAC is seeking an Assistant Director of the Public Safety Institute (Regular FT) to support the development, implementation, and evaluation of public safety programming at the CCAC Public Safety Institute. The role reports to the Institute Director and involves coordinating instructors, enrollment, and partner collaborations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 3+ years EMS experience, or an associate’s degree with 5+ years EMS experience.
• Current PA EMT or Paramedic Certification, PA EMS-Instructor certification or eligibility to obtain.
• Valid PA driver’s license and American Heart Association BLS Instructor/Provider certifications; emergency responder experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates programs offered by the Public Safety Institute.
• Interfaces with CCAC departments and outside entities to deliver public safety training and education.
• Directs and supervises department staff.
• Collaborates with the director to recruit and recommend instructors and coordinators.
• Assists with recruitment of students and oversees enrollment and support services.
• Coordinates with city, county, and state personnel to identify training needs.
• Oversees compliance with local, state rules and approves EMS instructors.
• Identifies and coordinates learning sites and partnerships.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
