Job summary

Northampton Community College seeks a Director of Corporate & Public Safety to provide executive leadership and strategic direction for the college's safety training portfolio. You will oversee program planning, staffing, compliance, and fiscal management across multiple partnerships and the OSHA center.

The role emphasizes grant and contract management, employer engagement, and ensuring program impact while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or related field; experience will be considered in lieu of education.
• Seven or more years of experience in education or a related sector.
• Demonstrated success in managing grant-funded programs or contracts and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership and strategic direction for all programs, staff, and operations within the Corporate and Public Safety department.
• Develop, manage, and monitor departmental budgets, including grant funds and partnerships.
• Lead recruitment, supervision, and professional development of departmental personnel.
• Build and maintain partnerships with employers, community organizations, and agencies.
• Lead grant applications, contracts, and formal partnership agreements.
• Represent the department in governance, public forums, and external advisory bodies.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and drive continuous improvement.
