Job summary

El Camino College seeks an Associate Dean, Public Safety to provide visionary leadership over the division’s Public Safety instructional programs, including Administration of Justice, EMT, Fire Academy, Fire Technology, Paramedic, and POST academies.

The role requires developing goals, coordinating curricula, and aligning programs with workforce needs while partnering across college divisions and with local employers.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited college or university.
• At least 1 year of formal leadership experience related to the administrator's assignment and 1 year of work experience to teach in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct leadership of Public Safety instructional programs under the Dean.
• Develop, organize, and implement goals and objectives for the division.
• Plan, direct, and evaluate assigned programs, services, and activities; coordinate all elements of programs.
