Harris County is seeking a Dispatcher to handle incoming emergency and non-emergency calls, dispatch resources via radio, and coordinate with Law Enforcement and Incident Response Units. The role includes monitoring roadway cameras and notifying the public of incidents affecting traffic.

HCTRA Dispatchers are responsible for answering incoming emergency and non-emergency phone calls made to the Dispatch Center and dispatches appropriate resources (Law Enforcement or Incident Response Units) via two-way radio. Dispatchers coordinate with Law Enforcement and Incident Response Units to ensure that every active incident has all the appropriate resources required (Fire/EMS, Maintenance, Wreckers, etc.). Dispatchers monitor roadway cameras from around the Toll Road and notifies the public of any active incidents that may affect traffic.
