Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years of experience with two-way radio, multi-line telephone, or computer aided dispatch systems.
• Two years of experience using computer systems for entering, updating, and retrieving information.
• Completion of 60 college credits; or an equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Emergency Call Handling: Receive and assess calls from the public and 911 operators, gather details, and determine incident priorities.
• Dispatch Communication: Relay information to Troopers, contact partner agencies, and monitor Trooper locations.
• Record Management: Use CLEAN, JNET, and PFAD to research records and maintain incident details in electronic systems.
• Public Assistance: Respond to administrative inquiries and assist station visitors by providing information or arranging assistance.
• Training Support: Participate in structured communications training and assist with training new operators.
• Critical Response: Support emergency operations, follow continuity procedures, and report to alternate locations when directed.
