Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a highly motivated student to join our Emergency Management IT team for fall 2026. The candidate will work closely with System Administrators of CAD and RMS in a local government public safety environment, gaining experience across the full data lifecycle from the moment a 911 call hits the (CAD) system to its long-term storage and analysis in the (RMS).

This 16-week immersive program offers a unique vista into the “nervous system” of public safety.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics or related field.
• Minimum GPA: 3.0 on a 4.0 scale preferred.
• Technical Skills: Basic understanding of Relational Databases (SQL).
• Familiarity with Windows Server environments and networking basics.

Responsibilities

• Work with System Administrators of CAD and RMS in a local government public safety environment.
• Gain experience in the full life cycle of emergency data—from 911 hits to long-term storage and analysis.
• Mentorship and growth through pairing with a Senior System Administrator for supervised practical work.
