Job summary

King County’s Procurement & Payables (P&P) team seeks a Term-Limited Temporary Public Records Officer (Administrator I) to lead the PRR program, ensure compliance, and drive end-to-end workflows. The role supports internal teams and community members, with hybrid work and two onsite days at King Street Center in Seattle.

The position emphasizes governance, process improvement, and collaboration across agencies, with a focus on transparency and timely information access.

Qualifications

• Two years in administrative or program support roles, preferably in government/procurement/legal environments.
• At least one year of Public Records Act (RCW 42.56) experience handling PRRs.
• Proven ability to provide excellent customer service to diverse stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with deadline awareness.
• Experience in process improvement and implementing efficiency solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other admin tools.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Public Records Officer for P&P, handling PRRs per RCW 42.56.
• Provide high-quality administrative support to P&P and partner agencies.
• Review and streamline standard operating procedures for the Admin team.
• Identify and implement process improvements to boost efficiency.
• Mentor and support administrative staff and interns.
