Job summary

State of Washington is seeking a Management Analyst 5 to support the Public Records Unit within the Information Governance Program in Tumwater. You will promote transparency while protecting confidential information and help ensure compliance with Public Records laws and agency policies.

You will lead policy updates, coordinate with attorneys and staff, monitor performance metrics, and prepare dashboards for executive leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, education, or a related field.
• Five years in a related field including planning, analysis, coordination, and consultation.
• Equivalent experience may substitute education year for year.

Responsibilities

• Update policies to align with laws and rules, reviewing case law, laws, and rules.
• Track multiple projects, create timelines, and obtain legal advice as needed.
• Stand in for the IG Manager to assess public record requests with risk focus.
• Coordinate with PRO and IG Manager to triage high‑risk requests.
• Identify changes to case laws and update trainings and standard work.
• Develop monthly Public Records metrics and dashboards for executives.
