Job summary

UW Medicine is seeking a Records Analyst to support compliance with the Washington Public Records Act, handling complex requests across academic, clinical, and administrative settings.

Reporting to the Associate Director of the UW Medicine Public Records Program, you will manage caseloads, identify exemptions, draft communications, and assist with records management and improvements. This role emphasizes discretion, collaboration, and MS 365 proficiency. Onsite work at South Lake Union.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and three or more years of related experience.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Proficient with Microsoft 365 suite.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage an assigned caseload of complex public records requests from intake through closure.
• Coordinate with departments and record holders to identify responsive records and guide gathering electronic records.
• Review large volumes of records; apply exemptions, redactions, and withholdings; draft legally significant communications; elevate risks as needed.
• Organize, maintain, index, retrieve, and document public records and central file systems in line with retention schedules.
