Job summary

University of Washington is seeking a Records Analyst to join the UW Medicine Regulatory & Business Affairs Office. Reporting to the Associate Director of the UW Medicine Public Records Program, you will help UW Medicine meet its PRA obligations while supporting a high-integrity records program.

You will independently manage an assigned caseload of complex requests, identify responsive records, apply PRA exemptions, draft legally significant communications, and escalate risks as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of related experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for internal and external audiences.
• Ability to handle confidential information with tact and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a caseload of complex public records requests from intake to closure.
• Identify responsive records, determine exemptions, and prepare productions.
• Draft legally significant communications and document exemptions.
• Provide guidance and coordinate with UW units to ensure timely responses.
