• Coordinate acquisition of real property rights for public utilities, expansion, and operations for city projects.
• Coordinate disposition of real property rights in line with laws and city policies.
• Oversee temporary use of city property for construction projects during approvals.
• Manage consultants and vendors including reviewing invoices and costs.
• Negotiate with landowners and respond to concerns.
• Review development applications (plats, replats, site plans) for real estate items.
• Serve as case manager for licenses to encroach and abandonments.
• Provide technical real estate guidance to city departments, developers, and owners.
• Perform title research and curative work; resolve closing issues.
• Assist engineers with route/site selection and project coordination.
• Assist legal staff with title review and document preparation for condemnation hearings.
• Prepare and present recommendations to City Council and advisory boards.
