The Georgia Department of Public Health (GA) is seeking a dedicated registered nurse to assess health care needs, administer nursing care, vaccines, and education to clients. You will work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver essential public health services and school-related care across the Coastal Health District.
The role requires an associate degree in nursing, an active Georgia RN license and CPR, with PHN coursework completed within one year of hire.

Assess client health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records. Administer nursing care to Health Department clients. May advise clients on health maintenance and disease prevention or provide case management. Nurse will provide Public Health services to clients on a daily basis. Cares for population with special needs during disasters/emergencies and biological and chemical protocols.

Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of nursing experience and completion of a PHN course within one year of hire and current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license and CPR certification; or one (1) year of experience at the lowerlevel PH Registered Nurse 1 (HCP190) or position equivalent.
BSN; Previous Public Health experience strongly preferred.
Applicants hired for the position with an ASN degree will be required to successfully complete an approved School of Nursing BSN Level Health Assessment Course if they have not previously done so.
