Responsibilities

• Assists County Nurse manager with daily operations.
• Serves as mentor/preceptor for nurses and nursing students.
• May manage specific program activities or program evaluations.
• Supervises and plans work of assigned staff.
• Provides treatments, administers medications/vaccines and provides preventive and maintenance care to patients/families.
• Will serve as second in charge to assist CNM with staffing/assignments and care for patients.
• Will serve as nurse lead/expert in specific clinic programs.
• Work closely with CNM, Nursing Director and nursing education coordinator to ensure nursing protocols are up to date.

• Assists County Nurse manager (CNM) with daily operations of health department(s).
• Serves as mentor/preceptor for new nurses and or preceptors for nursing students
• May manage specific program activities and or specific program evaluation
• Supervises and plans work of assigned staff
• Applies principles of population health to practice
• Participates in the planning, organizing and evaluation of program areas to insure the goals and objectives(s) of the program are met
• Provides treatments, administers medications/vaccines and provides preventive and maintenance care to patient/families consistent with care plan and or physician treatment plan.
• Will serve as second in charge to assist CNM with staffing/ assignments and care for patients
• Will serve as nurse lead/expert in specific clinic programs
• Will work closely with CNM , nursing Director and nursing education coordinator to ensure all nursing protocols are up to date and followed closely by all nursing personnel.

All East Central Health District 6 employees are deemed essential workers in the event of an emergency. As such, you may be called on to participate in an event including but not limited to: staffing a shelter, working at a Specimen Point of Collection Site (SPOC) and/or working at a Point of Dispensing site (POD). BSN minimal requirement from accredited school of nursing Georgia or compact nurses active license required
