Job summary

Coastal Health District in Georgia seeks an experienced Registered Nurse Supervisor to oversee clinical staff, ensure high-quality patient care, and coordinate with the health care team to implement care plans. The role emphasizes disaster readiness and population health.

Minimum qualifications include an Associate Degree in Nursing with an active Georgia RN license and CPR, with two years’ RN experience and PHN training.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in nursing with Georgia RN license and CPR certification; or two years of experience at PHN level.
  • Experience in outpatient HIV/AIDS treatment setting preferred.
  • Current Georgia RN license and CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Manages and supervises assigned staff to include performance management, clinic staffing, etc
  • Assess and evaluate client care, clinic flow and staff efficiency, while providing quality client care
  • Consults and coordinates with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate client care plans
  • Observes nurses to ensure that proper nursing care is provided
  • Provides professional nursing care in accordance with nurse protocols, policies and/or procedures
  • Focuses on the prevention of illness, injury, or disability, the promotion of health and maintenance of the health of populations
  • Cares for population with special needs during disasters/emergencies and biological and chemical protocols.

All Coastal Health District County Health Department employees are deemed essential employees in the event of an emergency. As such, you may be called on to participate in an event not limited to but including, staffing a shelter, a Specimen Point of Collection Site (SPOC) and/or Point of Dispensing site (POD). When you are called on to participate, you are expected and it will be a part of your job requirement to participate, whether the emergency occurs during or outside regular work hours.

Min starting salary-$74,758.00

  4. Observes nurses to ensure that proper nursing care is provided
  5. Provides professional nursing care in accordance with nurse protocols, policies and/or procedures.
  6. Focuses on the prevention of illness, injury, or disability, the promotion of health and maintenance of the health of populations.
  7. Cares for population with special needs during disasters/emergencies and biological and chemical protocols.

Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of nursing experience and completion of a PHN course within one (1) year of hire and current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license and CPR certification; or two (2) years of experience at the lower-level PH Registered Nurse 3 (HCP192) or position equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

At least two years of previous RN experience in an outpatient HIV/AIDS treatment setting. Two or more years of experience as a Nurse Supervisor.
