Job summary

Florida Department of Health in Hillsborough County seeks a Medical Unit Specialist to manage purchasing, inventory and data systems for the Disease Control Division in Tampa. You will coordinate with the Purchasing Department, prepare requisitions, and maintain accounting and reporting for expenditures.

The role requires at least 1 year of customer service, data entry and purchasing experience, plus familiarity with HMS, MFMP and related health IT tools. On-site work in Tampa is expected.

Qualifications

• 1 year of customer service experience.
• 1 year of data entry experience.
• 1 year of purchasing experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications.
• Experience with phone systems and clerical duties.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and purchase supplies, services, and commodities for the DC Division.
• Coordinate with Purchasing Dept and L4 staff; prepare requisitions.
• Utilize MFMP and Works; maintain supply inventories and reporting.
• Maintain supply level tracking and educate staff on procurement processes.
• Enter data in HMS, Availity, Change HealthCare and FLSHOTS.
• Attend meetings and perform other related duties as assigned.
