Florida Department of Health in Hernando County seeks a Fiscal Assistant I to perform independent fiscal and billing duties including Medicaid and Medicare billing, posting payments, and deposits.

The role requires knowledge of FLAIR/FLPALM, HMS, CPT/ICD coding review, and timely processing of claims. Office experience and accuracy in data entry are preferred, with responsibilities across Spring Hill and Brooksville sites.

Qualifications

• One year experience in Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable.
• Preferred: One year office experience.
• Experience with data entry.
• Knowledge of FLAIR/FLPALM and HMS.
• Ability to review CPT/ICD codes for billing.

Responsabilités

• Perform medical and dental billing to Medicaid, Medicare, Third Party and Dental.
• Post payments to medical and dental accounts.
• Create deposits and balance deposits from all departments.
• Load deposits into the FLAIR/FL Palm systems and ensure timely entry.
• Review medical records for CPT/ICD codes and submit claims.
• Process Medicaid, Medicare, HMOs and other insurance claims.
• Maintain secure claims files and track submissions and payments.
• Attend meetings and training pertinent to insurance.
