Job summary

El Paso County Clerk & Recorder’s Office seeks a GIS & Data Specialist to maintain GIS data, draft maps, and support election and motor vehicle teams. The role focuses on turning complex data into accurate, service-oriented resources for daily operations and informed decisions.

Qualifications

Must be a U.S. citizen and registered to vote in Colorado by time of employment.
High school diploma or equivalent education.
Three years of GIS or CAD software experience; degrees substitutions apply.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data management skills.

Responsibilities

Maintain GIS for the Clerk & Recorder’s Office and interpret data from agencies.
Draft and reproduce maps and voter precinct plats; update locator indexes.
Support Elections and Motor Vehicle Departments with data and reports.
Create ballot tracking, jurisdictional and statistical reports.
Assist public data requests and provide data responsibly.
Collaborate with teams and maintain documentation and processes.
