Job summary
NTB Associates, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented GIS Specialist / GIS Technician to support mapping, data management, and geospatial analysis using ESRI GIS technologies and CADD software.
The role emphasizes accuracy, documentation, and data integrity in both office and field settings. The candidate should have an Associate degree or equivalent training, proficiency in ArcGIS, and strong analytical skills.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent training in GIS or related field.
- Coursework in GIS, Cartography, Geography, or Civil Engineering preferred.
- Proficient in ArcGIS with strong analytical and spatial skills.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed maps using ESRI GIS technologies and CADD software.
- Compile, enter, and maintain spatial and tabular data within GIS databases.
- Create map layouts of moderate difficulty and complexity.
- Perform geoprocessing operations and database queries.
- Georeference as-built drawings and digitize point, line, and polygon features.
- Conduct mapping research to resolve data conflicts in field and office.
- Interpret engineering plans, plats, and legal descriptions.
- Maintain documentation, file organization, and system backups of GIS data and mapping products.

We are seeking a detail-oriented GIS Specialist / GIS Technician to support mapping, data management, and geospatial analysis efforts using ESRI GIS technologies and CADD software. The ideal candidate will combine technical GIS skills with strong attention to accuracy, documentation, and data integrity in both office and field environments.
- Must pass a drug screening
- Fast-paced, detail-oriented work environment
- Prepare detailed maps using ESRI technologies (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online) and/or CADD software
- Compile, enter, and maintain spatial and tabular data within GIS databases
- Create map layouts of moderate difficulty and complexity
- Perform geoprocessing operations and database queries
- Georeference as-built drawings and digitize point, line, and polygon features
- Conduct mapping research in both field and office settings to resolve data conflicts

- Associate degree or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience from an accredited college or technical/vocational program
- Coursework or training in GIS, Cartography, Geography, Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Computer Science preferred
- Proficient in ArcGIS
- Survey/engineering experience a plus
- Strong analytical and spatial skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
