County of Los Angeles is seeking Library Associates in the South County Area for a temporary, part-time role to support library operations and community services. You will handle check-in/check-out, register borrowers, answer public questions, process deliveries, assist with shelving, and support special projects across several branches.

Applicants must have at least 3 months of direct customer service experience, be 18 or older, and meet physical requirements; benefits information is provided

Qualifications

• Three (3) months of direct customer service experience.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Physical Class 3 – Moderate: standing/walking, lifting up to 25 pounds regularly.

Responsabilités

• Process library materials for customers: check-in and check-out.
• Register new borrowers per established protocols.
• Explain and enforce library policies and procedures.
• Provide information and answer questions regarding fines, fees, and locations.
• Operate office equipment and assist in a small office setting.
• Assist in shelving and moving materials.
• Prepare and process outgoing and incoming deliveries; pack/unpack as needed.
• Support various tasks and special projects as required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
