County of Los Angeles is seeking Library Associates for the West County Area. This temporary, part-time position offers flexible shifts and the chance to serve a diverse community within a modern library system.

Relevant duties include processing materials, registering borrowers, answering questions, and upholding library policies. Applicants should have 3 months of public-facing work experience and be at least 18 years old.

Formación

• Three (3) months of work experience providing direct customer service or public-facing services.
• Age: At least 18 years of age.
• Physical Class 3 – Moderate with standing/walking and lifting requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Process library materials for customers, including check-in and check-out procedures.
• Register new customers (borrowers) in accordance with established protocols.
• Explain and enforce library policies and procedures.
• Provide information and answer questions regarding library rules, fines, fees, and material locations.
• Operate office equipment, including computers, in a small office setting.
• Assist in shelving and moving materials.
• Prepare and process outgoing and incoming delivery shipments with packing/unpacking.
• Provide support for tasks and special projects as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
