Job summary

San Bernardino County seeks a Quality Review Specialist for the Human Services System to perform complex eligibility audits, reviews, and investigations for programs such as CalWORKs and CalFresh. You will interview customers and verify data to ensure accurate benefit determinations across multiple counties and units.

Responsibilities include preparing concise reports, coordinating with other departments, and interpreting evolving federal/state policies.

Qualifications

• Education: Eight (8) semester units of completed college coursework in behavioral/social science or business/public administration.
• Substitution: One (1) year of additional qualifying journey-level experience may substitute for the required education.

Responsibilities

• Review, evaluate, investigate, and gather information to determine accuracy of facts reported by customers.
• Advise applicants and recipients of rights/responsibilities, and resolve discrepancies.
• Interview and obtain information from applicants/recipients for verifying facts.
• Prepare written correspondence and reports with recommendations or to justify eligibility determinations.

Education

Eight (8) semester units of college coursework in behavioral/social science or business/public administration

Completion of the San Bernardino County Management Leadership Academy program (MLA) credits
