Job summary

Qualifications

• Education required as specified: eight college units in behavioral/social science or business/public administration.
• Experience in public assistance eligibility is preferred and strongly encouraged.
• Substitution option allows one year of additional journey-level experience.

Responsibilities

• Review, evaluate, investigate, and gather information to determine accuracy of eligibility facts.
• Interview applicants, recipients, and representatives to verify data and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare clear written correspondence and reports with recommendations for corrective action.

• Collaborate with other departments and agencies to verify dates and resolve discrepancies.
