Job summary

The Family Support Division in Salem, MO is seeking a Benefit Program Technician to help Missouri citizens receive food, medical, financial, and nutritional assistance. The role involves determining eligibility and interviewing clients in person and by phone.

Successful candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent with four years of customer service experience or a bachelor’s degree, and a compassionate, non-judgmental attitude.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with at least four years of customer service experience OR Bachelor’s Degree.
• Must be personable, compassionate and have a non-judgmental attitude.
• Lack of post-secondary education will not be the sole basis for denial of consideration.

Responsibilities

• Determine initial and continuing eligibility for services.
• Interview clients in person and by telephone.
• Prepare summaries and related documentation.
