Job summary

Delano Miami Beach is seeking a Public Area Attendant to keep the hotel’s public spaces pristine and welcoming in line with luxury standards. You will assist under the Director of Housekeeping to maintain restrooms, lobbies, and corridors, ensuring a consistently high level of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

The role emphasizes guest service, teamwork, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while supporting hotel events and daily operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years experience in a public-contact role in upscale hotels.
• Gracious, friendly, approachable demeanor.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork and cross-department collaboration.
• Must be able to stand for a full shift and perform physical tasks.
• Excellent English speaking and writing.
• Work indoors/outdoors year-round as needed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all public restrooms and toilets are clean, stocked, and fresh.
• Perform restroom inspections at least every 30 minutes.
• Stock towels from the laundry and return soiled linens.
• Dust, clean, and wipe lobby walls, doors, and surfaces.
• Empty trash bins in public areas regularly.
• Stay informed about hotel events to support guest satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness and operability of telephones in public areas.
• Report defects to Housekeeping management.
