Job summary

Columbia Hospitality, Inc. is seeking a reliable janitorial associate to keep assigned buildings in Pennsylvania clean, sanitary, and orderly for guests and staff.

You will perform high dusting, sanitizing, bathroom cleaning, trash removal, floor care, and public area upkeep, following MSDS guidelines and safety rules.

Strong teamwork and the ability to follow written instructions are essential to maintain a welcoming environment and support daily operations.

Qualifications

• Basic operations of janitorial work.
• Basic methods, materials and equipment used in janitorial work.
• Basic safe work practices.
• The use of toxic and non-toxic chemicals (per MSDS sheets).
• Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Sufficiently communicate with co-workers and supervisors.
• Operate powered and non-powered janitorial equipment.
• Interpret written instructions and warning labels on cleaning chemicals.
• Maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities which may include walking, standing or sitting for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• High dust surfaces above shoulder height using a high duster.
• Sanitize surfaces below shoulder height with germicidal solution.
• Spot clean windows and remove fingerprints from doorknobs.
• Bathroom cleaning in the stated order and sanitize.
• Empty trash can liners and replace with clean bags.
• Dust mop, vacuum, and clean under furniture.
• Maintain grounds and cleanliness of public areas and sidewalks.
• Clean and sanitize the food court area and remove trash.
• Floor sanitizing and daily inspection of all areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Ensure customer areas are kept neat and welcoming.
