Job summary

Columbia Hospitality, Inc. is seeking a reliable janitorial associate to keep assigned buildings clean, sanitary, and orderly throughout the shift, following established cleaning procedures and safety rules.

You will perform high-dusting, sanitizing, bathroom cleaning, trash removal, floor care, and ground maintenance in public areas, food courts, and outdoor spaces, inspecting for cleanliness and reporting maintenance needs to supervision.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic janitorial operations.
• Familiarity with cleaning methods, materials and equipment used in janitorial work.
• Understanding basic safe work practices.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Sufficient communication with co-workers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• High dusting of surfaces above shoulder height.
• Sanitizing and spot cleaning surfaces below shoulder height.
• Bathroom cleaning following a specified order and using germicidal solutions.
• Empty trash and replace liners.
• Floor dusting or vacuuming with proper technique.
• Grounds care and outdoor area upkeep.
• Public common areas cleaning and cobweb removal as needed.
• Food court area cleaning, trash removal, and tray washing.
• Floor sanitizing and final room inspection.
• Customer relations: be courteous and quiet, report issues to supervisor.
