Job summary

Columbia Hospitality, Inc. is seeking a dependable janitor to maintain clean, sanitary facilities.

You will perform high-dusting, sanitizing, bathroom cleaning and trash removal in assigned buildings, following safe cleaning procedures. You will also clean floors, manage grounds care, and keep public areas sparkling; strong attention to detail and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions are essential.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of janitorial work.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment.
• Attention to safety and sanitation procedures.

Responsibilities

• High dust surfaces above shoulder height with a treated duster.
• Sanitize surfaces below shoulder height using germicidal solution.
• Clean bathrooms including toilet, sinks and dispensers.
• Empty trash; replace liners as needed.
• Dust and vacuum floors; clean under furniture.
• Outdoor grounds: empty ash urns and police sidewalks for trash.
• Public areas: keep glass clean and planters free of bird waste.
• Food Court: tidy tables, remove trash, and wash/dry trays.
• Floor sanitizing: mop behind furniture and corners.
• Inspect room and correct issues; ensure neatness.
• Maintain quiet, courteous service and report problems.
