Job summary

Columbia Hospitality, Inc. is seeking a reliable janitor to perform a variety of cleaning activities in assigned buildings, maintaining clean, sanitary and orderly conditions throughout the shift.

You will handle high dusting, sanitizing, bathroom cleaning, trash removal, floor care, grounds maintenance, and public areas, while following safety guidelines and reporting maintenance needs. Experience in ground care and public area cleaning is valued.

Qualifications

• Basic operations of janitorial work.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Operate powered and non-powered janitorial equipment.
• Understand and apply safety instructions and MSDS guidelines.
• Maintain physical condition for long shifts including lifting and bending.

Responsibilities

• Perform high dusting of surfaces above shoulder height around rooms.
• Sanitize surfaces and spots, including doors, countertops and fixtures.
• Clean bathrooms, restrooms and replenish supplies as needed.
• Empty trash cans, replace liners and ensure cleanliness of common areas.
• Vacuum, mop and dust floors; inspect and clean floors in all areas.
• Maintain grounds and outdoor spaces; police sidewalks and surrounding areas.
