Job summary

Columbia Hospitality, Inc. is seeking a diligent janitorial associate to maintain clean, sanitary, and orderly public and work areas across assigned facilities.

Responsibilities include high dusting, sanitizing, bathroom cleaning, trash removal, floor care, grounds and common area upkeep, and customer-friendly service. Attention to safety, following instructions, and teamwork are essential for daily operations.

Qualifications

• Basic operations of janitorial work.
• Basic methods, materials and equipment used in janitorial work.
• Basic safe work practices.
• The use of toxic and non-toxic chemicals (per MSDS sheets).

Responsibilities

• High dusting around the room, cleaning surfaces above shoulder height.
• Sanitizing surfaces below shoulder height with germicidal solution.
• Bathroom cleaning in specified order with germicidal solution.
• Empty trash cans; replace liners as needed.
• Floor dusting or vacuuming; clean under furniture and in restrooms.
• Grounds care: clean outdoor areas and police sidewalks and benches.
• Clean public common areas; maintain glass and planters, remove cobwebs.
• Spot clean for spills in food court; sanitize tables and chairs.
• Floor sanitizing from back to front; check for cleanliness.
• Inspect room and report issues to supervisor; perform other duties as assigned.
