Job summary

Columbia Hospitality, Inc. is seeking a diligent janitorial worker to maintain clean, sanitary and orderly facilities. Responsibilities include high dusting, sanitizing surfaces, bathroom cleaning, trash removal and floor care across public areas and the Food Court.

You will also perform exterior grounds care, window cleaning, and ensure guest areas are well-presented and safe. The role demands good communication and reliable teamwork.

Qualifications

• Basic operations of janitorial work.
• Basic methods, materials and equipment used in janitorial work.
• Basic safe work practices.
• The use of toxic and non-toxic chemicals (per MSDS sheets).
• Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Sufficiently communicate with co-workers and supervisors.
• Operate powered and non-powered janitorial equipment.
• Interpret written instructions and warning labels on cleaning chemicals.

Responsibilities

• High Dusting around the room using a treated high duster.
• Sanitizing / Spot Cleaning with germicidal solution around the room.
• Bathroom Cleaning including sink, toilet, dispensers and floors.
• Empty Trash Cans and replace liners as needed.
• Floor Dusting or Vacuuming and cleaning under furniture.
• Grounds care in outdoor areas: clean ash urns, sidewalks and benches.
• Clean and maintain Public Common Areas, windows and planters.
• Clean and sanitize Food Court tables, remove debris and empty bins.
• Floor Sanitizing with germicidal solution, mop under furniture.
• Inspect room for completion and correct layout or cleanliness issues.
• Provide courteous Customer Relations and Service to guests.
